Hebrew Calligraphy
writing hebrew

Calligraphy Tips:

  1. Paper: Try using bright white laser printer paper for practicing. It's inexpensive and it shows fine lines well.
  2. Pen: Try using a calligraphy felt marker with a broad (wide) tip.
  3. Holding the pen: The pen should be held at a 90-degree angle so that the broad edge of the pen is perpendicular to the paper and the line where the lettering will go.
  4. Practice: Print out a copy of the alef-bet provided here. Place the pen so that it exactly matches the position at the start of each stroke and trace over the lettering. Practice, practice, practice!
