This article is a primer for understanding the Israeli electoral system.  It relates to the elections of March 2006.  In the accompanying lesson. students will refine their understanding of the issues central to that election by matching statements about policy with their speakers.  This lesson can be used in conjunction with a lesson about a current election or when studying the electoral system.
