Jeff Kaplan, a 3rd-grade student at Congregation Beth Or, Spring House, PA, chose the password "Boring" when he first logged on to Shalom Uvrachah Interactive. It wasn’t long, however, before Jeff’s mother reported that he was waking up early each morning to use the CD before he left for school.
Well, this is my second year of Hebrew school, and sometimes it gets boring, so I expected this to be boring too. But when I started to play, I thought it was better and better every day.
I started to like the games and then I started to like the "Search and Circle" and that stuff. I liked it when the Professor said, "I lost my body," and then he did a flip. I wanted to get up early and play it. Now I’m on the sixteenth level and the other kids are on the seventh. I know more than them.
Yes. It does the same thing as the book, but tells you more. A voice says the words to you, and you can say the words before or after the voice. I like someone talking to me. Some of the games help you learn Hebrew, like the Alef Bet Chase. Now, when we read really hard words in class, I always get them right.

I’ve told my friends to use it, including Daniel. The "Professor" is the voice of Rabbi Greg Marx, Rabbi of Congregation Beth Or. Daniel is Jeff’s friend and classmate. Susan Kushner Edelstein, Director of Education, first brought Jeff’s story to our attention. |
