Harriet Wolpoff, Director of Education at Temple Beth Am in San Diego, was so enchanted by the life-size figures of Prof. Marvin Gimmelstein and Dr. Gila Gimmelstein at our CAJE booth in Seattle that she asked us to send her the electronic file to create blow-up figures for her own school. Harriet reports that the students immediately recognized the Gimmelsteins from Shalom Uvrachah Interactive and Hineni 1, 2, and 3 Interactive and helped welcome them into the sukkah. Nowadays, the life-size figures are hanging on the walls of the students’ Hebrew classrooms to remind them to do their homework with the CDs! Sad to say, our own Gimmelstein cut-outs have gone missing. We suspect they were taken into custody when we shipped them to the NATE conference with the UPS label saying "Blow Ups." Oops. To download the image of the Gimmelsteins for your school, just go to http://www.behrmanhouse.com/ |
Second-grade students at Temple Beth Am welcome the Gimmelsteins to their sukkah Send us a photo of your students with the Gimmelsteins and we’ll (1) publish it in the next Open Lion and (2) send two complimentary sets of Shuffle It in Hebrew playing cards for your kids and a copy of Nina Cardin’s The Tapestry of Jewish Time for you! |
