Construction Begins at New House of Behrman

The demolition is done, and as we mail this newsletter to you, new walls are going up at 11 Edison Place, Springfield, New Jersey, which will become our new home in March.

We're eagerly anticipating our new space. Most important for our customers will be a much larger warehouse--with about 20,000 square feet of warehouse space, we'll have room for an expanded pick-pack and shipping area, which should speed our shipments and reduce errors.

On the editorial side, a new library and electronic graphics room will make it easier for us to develop engaging book designs and select the best art and photographs for our books. (Quite frankly, we already do this, but it's going to be easier and faster in the new space.)

David is especially looking forward to the move, because after it's over, he won't have to spend his time worrying about the new phone systems, whether to install motion detector or light-beam alarms, or the merits of oiled cherry versus light oak furniture.

We're having a hanukkat habayit sometime in April. Everyone's invited--there'll be more details in a few months. And don't worry, we'll send you a change of address card before we move.
