Pre-Primer "Shalom Alef Bet!" Introduced with a Splash
We're very excited to announce that our new pre-primer, Shalom Alef Bet!, which introduces the alef bet to your 2nd
and 3rd grade students, is now available. Shalom Alef Bet! precedes Shalom Uvrachah, our best-selling primer, and
works hand-in-hand with it. Combined, the two are a powerful tool for early Hebrew education; they will get your
students off to a quick start and build a strong foundation for prayer and cultural literacy.
Shalom Alef Bet! prepares your students for Shalom Uvrachah by presenting all the Hebrew letters (except final
letters) and gently introducing the vowels--in the same order as Shalom Uvrachah. By the time your students have
completed both books in the series they will be able to decode all the Hebrew letters and vowels, to recognize 80 important
cultural words, and to write (in either print or script--your choice!). What's most exciting is that the books create a
rich cultural and value-laden
environment as they teach reading. You'll have the opportunity to explore concepts such as mitzvah, navee,
tzedakah, emet, and yisrael as you teach the alef bet.
