Blessing your Children
Place your hands on your child's head and say the following:

For a daughter:

Y'simekh Elohim

k'sarah rivkah rahel v'leah.

[blessing in hebrew]

May God make you like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah

For a son:

Y'simkha Elohim

k'efrayim v'khimenasheh.

[blessing in hebrew]

May God make you like Ephraim and Menasseh.

The blessing continues for all children:

Y'varekh'kha Adonai v'yiskm'rekha.

Ya'er Adonai panav elekha vihuneka.

Yisa Adonai panav elekha, v'yasem

l'kha shalom.

[blessing in hebrew]

May God Bless you and keep you.
May God's light shine on you and be gracious to you.
May God's face be lifted upon you and give you peace.
