Yom Ha'atzmaut Resources

Send home a link to “Israel Is My Home”( http://www.babaganewz.com/teachers/israel-is-my-home-a-ceremony-for-yom-haatzmaut) for families to watch together, present it at a family evening celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut, or use this at the beginning of a service, zimriyah, Israel Fair, or other program.

Have students present the play "Zionism Without Zion?" (http://www.babaganewz.com/teachers/zionism-without-zion) to parents or schoolmates at a school program. Students can also make a movie of their class performing the play and you can send it home to each family.

Invite families to an Israel Fair: http://www.babaganewz.com/teachers/israel-fair-tahanot-stations.

Invite parents for an evening to do this station activity in this article’s lesson plan (in the blue box): http://www.babaganewz.com/articles/seeing-is-believing. It is especially appropriate before a class trip or family trip to Israel.

Send home the quiz “How do you Express Your Love of Israel?” (http://www.babaganewz.com/quizzes/how-do-you-express-your-love-of-israel) to each family the week before Yom Ha’atzmaut and ask each family member to take it and discuss their scores.

At a family night to celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, present “Gateways” (http://www.babaganewz.com/articles/gateways-a-ceremony-for-yom-yerushalayim) or send “Gateways” home for families to watch together.
