How Will You Foster Greater Engagement with Israel this Year?

You want new ways to connect your students with Israel today. We have 14 new lesson plans that will help.

Behrman House has teamed up with ISRAEL21c to adapt a broad selection of its articles and videos for use in Jewish religious schools as a series of downloadable lesson plans for grades 4-7 called The ISRAEL21c Teacher's Edition. Each of the downloadable lesson plans from the ISRAEL21c Teacher's Edition showcases a selection from ISRAEL21c’s extensive library of articles and videos that take visitors beyond the Middle East conflict and provides them with a window into daily life in modern Israel. It is organized around seven themes: environment, social action, people, health, culture, technology, and travel.

The latest two volumes of the ISRAEL21cTeacher's Edition features Zichiron Ya'akov, home of wine and spices, making honey in the homeland, saving fish with Grow Fish Anywhere, an Israeli mom's earth friendly food wrap, a revolutionary Israeli toilet, and an olive spit contest

Download the new lesson plans in Volume 11 and Volume 12

Each lesson plan comes with the underlying print or video article from the journalists at ISRAEL21c and comes with a complete downloadable lesson plans. Lesson plans are $2.99 each, or you can save 30% when you order a complete volume of 7 lessons. All the ISRAEL21c lesson plans are also available in the Behrman House Resource Libraries, and can be saved and used directly in the Online Learning Center.

We will be releasing a new volume of downloadable lesson plans every two weeks or so for the rest of this school year.
