Apples & Honey Press Debuts at Book Expo America
Effective Stories and Storytelling

We've been thinking a great deal about the values of stories in enriching the learning environment we provide for our children and listening to your calls for more high quality Jewish story books for children. The result - Apples & Honey Press.

Our first fall list is available now and contains six beautiful and charming books:

Hanukkah Cookies with Sprinkles - a heartwarming Hanukkah story that focuses on tzedakah. 'A sweet and compassionate introduction to an important Jewish custom.' - Kirkus Reviews

Kayla & Kugela mischievous puppy helps prepare for Shabbat. 'Both entertaining and instructive.' - Kirkus Reviews

Avi the Ambulance - the adventures of an Israeli-based ambulance

Farmer Kobi's Hanukkah Match - a humorous party hosted by animals for a reluctant guest. 'A worthy addition to the holiday shelves.' - Kirkus Reviews

King David & Akavish the Spider - King David and the spider who saved his life. 'A cinematic aura in images that have a sculptural, three-dimenional quality.' - Publisher's Weekly

The Littlest Pair - an answer to the question: Were there bugs on Noah's ark?

Each story is enriched by compelling illustrations and most also include a parent page at the back that highlights its themes or provides more detailed information about a holiday or Jewish practice. We have also created a one-page teacher guide for each book that provides tips for using the story with students and includes ideas for activities that help you integrate it into their learning.

We will be introducing five to seven additional Apples & Honey Press titles each spring and fall. We hope our new works help you find even more ways to incorporate the magic of stories and storytelling into your program.
