Teachers Learn in Bunny Slippers

Written by Anonymous, 23 of October, 2011

Short, highly focused—and customized—webinars have helped teachers across the country build successful programs using the new Alef Bet Quest and Kol Yisrael blended learning Hebrew materials. And best of all, they are truly ‘come as you are’ because teachers can access from any location—even from the family room at home comfortably clad in pjs and bunny slippers (no one will know!).

Here’s how it works:

1. The education director sets up a day and time with us that suits the staff. Webinars usually run between 45 and 75 minutes.

2. We consult with the education director and teachers about their specific needs, for example, serving students with different ability levels in the same class, ways to maximize use of the digital companions, and methods for assessing progress.

3. We customize a webinar for the school (and sometimes for a neighboring school who would like to share the cost) and send teachers the link to register.

4. The teachers log on at the set time from anywhere (even the kitchen!).

That’s it. It’s convenient, short and to the point, and effective. And, since we use the latest technology, teachers can see the slides and a web cam showing us on the side of the computer screen. It’s as if we’re in the room with them!

Rabbi Jocee Hudson, Rabbi Educator-Religious School Director at Temple Israel of Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA told us: “I was very pleased with the webinar and look forward to sharing the recording with those who couldn’t make it.  I’m eager to jump in!”

Our Consulting Group can present a webinar on any educational topic (also popular is classroom management). For more information, contact Terry Kaye, Director and Client Engagement Manager of Behrman House Consulting Group, at terry@bhconsultinggroup.com.
