Written by Behrman House Staff, 11 of February, 2014

Based off of eSchool News' article "44 Classroom Tools You Can Use Right Now", we made our own list that best suited our educators.

Here is a list of ten useful tools available for you:

  1. Answer Garden - this feedback tool helps to engage conversations further and also functions as a poll and guestbook.

  2. Canva - a simple - and free - design tool. Create cards, images for social media, posters, and more.

  3. Class Dojo - a student work management tool that also sends progress reports to parents.

  4. Class Mint - research-based techniques (flashcards, repetition, etc.) to help students advance with learning.

  5. Instagrock - searching topics made easy. Enter keywords into search field and this tool will present key facts and related topics to your search.

  6. Padlet -  Create "walls" for students to engage and post.

  7. Pixiclip - Create notes with highlighting, drawing, and verbal notes that can be replayed later.

  8. Remind 101 -  a safe contact tool that not only schedules reminders and alerts, but hides both parents and teacher cell phone numbers.

  9. Storify - Create story boards with combined media and embed the link anywhere.

  10. Thinglink - Use images with embeded facts, music, and links to further students learning.
