Kedushah (holiness prayer) is the third blessing in the Shabbat Amidah. The theme of the Kedushah is God’s holiness. The Reconstructionist Kedushah is the same as the traditional version with the exception of a reference to David as the anointed one, a reference to the belief that David’s descendent will be the messiah. Reconstructionists do not believe that the messiah will be a person.
