Hebrew in Harmony Taps Music as the Source of Kavanah

Prepare to teach Hebrew through music! Beginning July 11 and through the end of September, join other educators in an online Hebrew in Harmony training course offered by Behrman House, in partnership with Gratz College’s NEXT program, an expert provider of online learning for supplementary school Jewish educators. Registration is open now.

Taught by Dina Maiben, author of Alef Bet Quest and assistant director of the NEXT program, the course will cover all aspects of teaching Hebrew in Harmony to ensure an engaging and musical Hebrew experience for your students. Over six sessions, prepare to make full use of Hebrew in Harmony: the Curriculum Core and student journals; music clips and video games; how to teach Hebrew reading skills with the curriculum; integrating movement, drama, and art; and how to enrich the curriculum and make it your own.

During the course, you will have the opportunity to develop sample activities and lessons and receive one-on-one feedback from Dina. By the start of the school year, you will be ready to bring Hebrew in Harmony to life for your students.

How It Works:

·        Rolling admission: Start learning whenever you wish, beginning July 11.
·        It’s self-paced: Take the time you need to complete each section. We estimate it will take about 45 minutes per section.
·        No scheduled class time:  Log in and participate whenever it’s convenient for you – day or night.
·        Tuition: $50 per teacher (a 50% discount from NEXT’s standard tuition!)

BONUS: When a teacher completes the course, Behrman House will credit his/her school $35 toward Berhman House materials.

Upon completion, participants will receive a personalized certificate from Behrman House and the NEXT program in recognition of their certification as a Hebrew in Harmony educator.
