Four Ways Your Students Can Travel to Israel This Year!

Your students saved the fish population in volume 11, judged an olive pit spit contest in volume 12, and will dig deeper into Israeli culture with the newest lesson plan from ISRAEL21c.

With the latest volume of the ISRAEL21c Teacher's Edition your students will be able to explore the desert's ancient wisdom, cheer on Israel's Paralympic Team as they go for gold, take a bite out of Israel's curbside cuisine, and more with the latest volume 14.

Grades 4-7 will dig deep in the desert and learn about new techniques to channel the ecosystem of the land for more sustainable solutions then adventure in Jaffa, where food stalls and small restaurants await hungry passersby with famous Israel street food. Students can then go behind the scenes of Ramat Gan safari as veterinarians save injured wild life at a unique hospital in Israel and see what it takes to be a successful innovator from the new book, Start-up Nation.

Behrman House teamed up with ISRAEL21c to adapt a broad selection of its articles and videos for use in Jewish religious schools as a series of downloadable lesson plans for grades 4-7 called The ISRAEL21c Teacher's Edition. Each of the downloadable lesson plans from the ISRAEL21c Teacher's Edition showcases a selection from ISRAEL21c’s extensive library of articles and videos that take visitors beyond the Middle East conflict and provides them with a window into daily life in modern Israel. It is organized around seven themes: environment, social action, people, health, culture, technology, and travel.

Download the new lesson plans in Volume 14.

Each lesson plan comes with the underlying print or video article from the journalists at ISRAEL21c and comes with a complete downloadable lesson plans. Lesson plans are $2.99 each, or you can save 30% when you order a complete volume of 7 lessons. All the ISRAEL21c lesson plans are also available in the Behrman House Resource Libraries, and can be saved and used directly in the Online Learning Center.

We will be releasing a new volume of downloadable lesson plans every two weeks or so for the rest of this school year.
