Third Hebrew in Harmony Cohort Begins November 15

Written by Behrman House Staff, 18 of October, 2016

By popular demand, we have opened up a third cohort of teacher training for Hebrew in Harmony, the groundbreaking new music-based curriculum for 4th-6th graders that offers an engaging and musical Hebrew experience for your students.

Beginning November 15, Gratz College’s NEXTprogram, an expert provider of online learning for supplementary school Jewish educators, will prepare you to make full use of Hebrew in Harmony: the Curriculum Core and student journals; music clips and video games; how to teach Hebrew reading skills with the curriculum; integrating movement, drama, and art; and how to enrich the curriculum and make it your own.

Designed by Dina Maiben, author of Alef Bet Quest and assistant director of the NEXT program, the six-session course will help you develop sample activities and lessons. Instructors will offer personalized feedback and facilitate discussions with other participants. In just a short time, you'll be ready to bring Hebrew in Harmony to life for your students.

One key focus of the NEXT teacher training course is the digital companion, which is designed for use on its own or as a complement to the student journals. The training will walk you through how to use both the digital and print materials for maximum learning
