Behrman House Blog

Over 100 websites in this blog!

There is an endless amount of information that can be found on the web. Sometimes, it’s hard to sift through everything to find what’s useful to you. I rely on blogs and twitter to find useful information to pass along. The other day, I came across a blog that lists 100 blogs to make you a better teacher. The list is sorted by general teaching tips and then by specific topics, such as special education and leveled instruction. While all of these websites have nuggets of useful information, I found a few sites that I particularly like. www.edutopia.org is a site that provides a wealth of resources for teachers in any grade. Another site, http://highschoolmediator.com/ addresses topics such as bullying in school. Also, most of the 100 blogs have their own set of links, giving you access to more articles that are relevant to your work.

Are you currently using technology in your class? The Jewish New Media Innovation Fund is exploring how new media can help preserve Jewish history, renew Jewish traditions, and revitalize Jewish institutions. They are giving away over $500,000 in grant funds for projects that best show how to use new media to engage the next generation of Jews in Jewish life, learning, community, and culture.
